The United States Pony Clubs<\/strong>\u00a0was formed by a group of avid Foxhunters who wanted a structured program to not only teach children sound riding skills and a love of equestrian sports, but also how to care for their horses. Based on the practices of the Pony Club in England, which was founded in 1928, the United States Pony Clubs, Inc, was established in 1954.<\/p>\n Riding Centers<\/strong>, like\u00a0Enterprise Farms<\/strong>, are equestrian facilities that have been recognized by USPC to offer the Pony Club program. Riding Centers have horses that are available for members to use during meetings, so owning your own horse is not a requirement. The intent of the program is to make Pony Club membership available to participants (to age 25) who would not traditionally have been able to participate in Pony Club due to not owning or having consistent access to a horse.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.0.101″ background_layout=”light”]<\/p>\n Riding Centers\u00a0<\/strong>offer instruction in riding on the flat, over fences, and in the open. In addition to the Pony Club mounted meetings, Riding Centers also hold unmounted meetings where members learn about the care of horses.<\/p>\n Pony Club Riding<\/strong> Centers<\/strong>\u00a0are able to offer the full Pony Club program, including ratings and rallies or competitions. In addition, Pony Club members through the Riding Centers have access to all the opportunities and activities that USPC provides for its members, including Clinics, International Exchanges, National Youth Congress, Championships, College Scholarships, and so much more!<\/p>\n
